hi!
i don't know what happened,
my dvd burner was ok...
but now i can't burn even 1 dvd
it's very verrrrrry slow. more than an hour.
& it always fail in the data verification.
i tried nero, roxio... i uninstalled it & reinstalled it.
but the same problem.
i tried different media...
same thing.
i don't know what happened. maybe i installed something that changed something in my vista settings?
i uninstalled my "daemon tools". but the same problem.
i remember i installed "macdrive" on my vista (a program). but i uninstalled it weeks ago.
why it's burning soooo slow? (&why it failes in the data verification)?
help

btw i searched the net already & found that DMA issue.
i went to my device manager & under IDE channel i have dma enabled. so this is not the case:

Drive broken or dirty

The name doesn't matter. If it's not the dreaded DMA issue, then the drive could simply be broken or dirty.

Can you borrow another drive and test that in your computer to find out whether it's the drive or something else? Perhaps you can carry the computer to a computer shop and try it there.

DVD drives often fail. They are built very lightly and cheaply and are generally not reliable.
