Got an old computer that i am upgrading. Installed Windows xp but have no service pack installed yet. This old computer is NOT online yet. I downloaded a sp1a service pack on my other computer and took it to the old computer to install but get an error when it tries to find the network server. Does anyone know where I can get a sp1a that doesn't require a online connection?

SP1 is way obsolete. Since you have to download the complete service pack anyway, you might as well download the latest, which is Service Pack 3. There is no need to look at any earlier one.
If you download the complete, self-contained version, then you don't need a network connection to install it.
