System restore and windows no disk problems

Hi, I'm getting constant error messages of the classic windows-no disk type. I'm sure they are due to a virus I have recently exterminated (Trojan vundo) but I need to know how to fix it. The error message reads - exception processing message c0000013 parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf0c
I have tried changing the drive letters to no avail.

My second problem is that when in safe mode, my system restore screen pops up blank. There is only a White screen titled system restore with no regular options such as minimize, etc. Any advice?

Repairing deep malware damage

If System Restore to a state before the virus infection no longer works, you could try a repair installation. But, honestly, with such deep damage I would go for a new installation from scratch.

You could first salvage your data, for example by connecting the hard disk to another computer or by booting another operating system from a CD and copying the data to an external drive.

Thanks. I will try the repair

Thanks. I will try the repair and if it doesn't work I will have some serious data to relocate.
