Here are three recommendations.

• The new kid on the block is Microsoft's free antivirus program, which I am using now. An elegant, inconspicuous program that doesn't get in my way. I usually have the real-time protection switched off for performance reasons, which has the sole disadvantage that the icon is red with a white cross, warning me about the reduced security. But you don't have to do that.
• Free Avira AntiVir – a nice program, apart from some self-advertisements.

Hi, i have a Toshiba satellite running windows vista home basic 32bit, i was trying to shrink the C drive and i couldn't shrink it less than a certain extent with the windows manager, so i tried using paragon partition manager to resize it, so i selected the drive D to be expanded then the drive C to take the free space from and i applied the changes, it asked me to restart, after restarting a screen of the progress was showing and progress is moving normally untill it finished and restarted by it self, after restarting i got a black screen and it says "windows failed to start, a recent hardwa

I can't uninstall Norton Internet Security from Windows XP. I click on remove, and it scans for settings and tells me that I need to close the Web browser and try again. I don't have the web browser open. I have been searching for an answer for 2 days now and can't get anywhere. Anyone know?

I have windows XP on my HP laptop. I am not hardware or software savvy so I need help. Someone told me I am running on RAM only because I can't boot certain programs and that I have a widows media plug-in problem but I don't understand what to do about it. I also get a wm_exe error.

I tried restoring to 2 weeks ago. I tried uninstall and reinstall.
