I bought an HP pavilion zv5000 on January 2005 with an extended warranty.

I upgraded the memory to 1.2 go, running xp home sp2 ( I am not on sp3 as there is a conflict with Filemaker pro server with sp3)

i don't know what happened,
my dvd burner was ok...
but now i can't burn even 1 dvd
it's very verrrrrry slow. more than an hour.
& it always fail in the data verification.
i tried nero, roxio... i uninstalled it & reinstalled it.
but the same problem.
i tried different media...
same thing.
i don't know what happened. maybe i installed something that changed something in my vista settings?
i uninstalled my "daemon tools". but the same problem.
i remember i installed "macdrive" on my vista (a program). but i uninstalled it weeks ago.

My external usb Maxtor HD and usb Flash drive have somehow become 'write protected' and i cant delete or add info to them. Ive tried all the usual, right clicking the drive and choosing 'Properties' to check if the 'read only' box is checked on both and it isnt. Been told to check my BIOS, but dont know how to do this. Is it on 'Start up'? or can I get into BIOS another way to see if there is anything to do with the drives? Ciao for any help from you guys.

I was able to upload SP2 for Windown XP.... Everything seems to work other than the display.. The VGA display is stuck in the lowest color and screen resolutions.... Any ideas?

HAEEAELLLPPP!!!!

I own Zenith Director Laptop, i have reinstall windows, unfortunately i've faced a problem. My problem is that, i cannot find the modem driver. In the device manager, it show "Modem device on High definition Audio Bus". Please can you tell me from where can i download this driver. My friend told me that it is motorola modem. I also check there website (www.zenith.com), but i cannot find the driver for this. please help.
