Hi, to everyone i write for first time and here is my problem: Before some time my laptop went down and the company which i bought it replaced it with a new one. But i kept the hard disk i had. When i plug the hd to the new laptop ( same specifications as the previous i had ) and tried to run Windows XP BSODs appeared either in safe mode or normal mode or even previous known good configuration. I know that the partitions are still in the hard disk and hard disk works well as i connected to a pc via a usb cable and managed to see my files.

hey, i have recently been advised to reinstall windows and i am getting the BSoD message when attempting to install windows. this is due to my computer's SATA driver. this requires a floppy with the drivers on it.
however, i do not know how to get these 32bit files which are needed:
jraid (security catalog)
Jraid (system file)
txtsetup.oem
xraid_f

my motherboard type is ms-6741
i do have a floppy drive, so all i need is the files. does anyone know where i can get these?

edit: i'm trying to install windows xp with service pack 2 if thats any help

For about 3 months I tried to get Asus to fix what acted like a keyboard error on my Eee PC 1000HD/XP.

The cursor (character position) would jump around with no pattern. There were never character errors (wrong character) just in the wrong place.

I sent it to their repair depots in Indiana and Califoria. Each time it came back at NTF (No Trouble Found) In California they even replaced the keyboard. No change.

Then I noticed that the touchpad was far more sensitive than needed.

I downloaded a driver update from the touchpad manufacturers website and that fixed it.

My windows runs smoothly as long as i do not shut down, may be for months. Even restart is not a problem. But when it gets shut down once, it does not start. And my technician say " Sir, ur SMPS has gone." he changes the smps and it starts n shuts down for two three times and i am a happy person. But again the same problem.
Please help me!!!!

I bought a Acer 9412WSMi from a family member but that person was blind and has changed every settings from the size of the pictures i've been able to change the size of the minimalization screensize and the close tab located top right corner the normal buttons but don't know how to call these haha. But the problem i'm having is that when i install the new msn messenger the tabs are huge and the pictures from buzzer emoticons and the rest at the bottom of the screen are also very large and not viewable.

Got an old computer that i am upgrading. Installed Windows xp but have no service pack installed yet. This old computer is NOT online yet. I downloaded a sp1a service pack on my other computer and took it to the old computer to install but get an error when it tries to find the network server. Does anyone know where I can get a sp1a that doesn't require a online connection?

This might be in the wrong place and I'm sorry. I just don't know about this stuff. I'm a beginner when it comes to the computer and I've been learning so much the last four days and three forums trying to fix this problem.

I can't burn a copy or disc any faster than 0.87X and I'm using Roxio 10. I was told the problem is because of the PIO I can't get to change to DMA on the Primary IDE channel?
